I agree. And it's not a matter of "hate Bush" or "Love Bush" it's a matter of political reality.

All politicians have their priorities. Bush has to be aware that if the Borderbots stay home, he'll be dealing with Speaker Pelosi.
Does he place the WOT lower than doing Senor V. Fox a favor?
To: ShandaLear
You are right....This administration has done a poor job of "framing the debate"!

Conservatives have worked for DECADES to put conservative judges on the bench. To hear them talk, you'd think it was the party elites who put Reagan in office. Who were the impetus behind the Contract for America that resulted in the Class of '94. Who started the petitions that got Gray Davis tossed out on his ear. Who stormed the offices where the recounts were ongoing during the election of 2000, fer cryin out loud.
They always seem to be on hand to cash in the the base's sweat equity though.
Given all that you'd think they'd have the good grace to accept responsiblity for their own f*** ups. But no, they blame - guess who?

That's what pisses me off about Pres Bush, the reticence to FIGHT BACK against the scurrilous charges. WTF was he thinking?

So, they're the French? No, the French usually direct their fire, ineffectual though it may be, at their enemies.

I still love the guy, but he's got to pay more attention to the conservative base of the party
Yeah...

Something about rather having John Dean in front of me than John McCain behind me?

"Iraq remains the main concern."
No, it is not. Immigration is THE MAIN PROBLEM for GW and the Repubs. They either get this right, or they will cease to be a viable party and conservatives will be looking for a new home.
