What to do with the illegal invaders is lots more complicated than many realize. Mexico is one our major oil suppliers. What happens if Mexico gets so pissed at the United States that it just sells that oil to India?

Nothing. Oil is a global market and mexico is just one of the many suppliers. If Mexico did what you proposed, they would get less money for their oil as their oil would be under less demand. The United States would then just make it up by buying more on the world market.

If Mexico could not hurt our economy by selling its oil elsewhere as a blackmail tactic, there is opportunity to get tough with our border policy.

I have heard talk about putting a stop to Western Union (and others) money transfers into Mexico. That would stop the money flow into Mexico and give less incentive for one to work in the United States.

We cannot go too fast with the deportation effort. There are employers who have become dependent on these workers. You wouldn't want them moving their operations into Mexico.
