Terrific idea. However, all state taxes should be lowered to account for the taxes not spent. I am told that the schools generally cost about 60% of a state's budget.

Now there's an idea I really like. While I don't know the total percentage government schools cost the state, not having to pay taxes for government schools when we don't use them would be a nice change.
