Burger Chef and Jeff! That restaurant was the first place I discovered I could get a 69 cent hamburger, and load it with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions from the works bar! Ahh, youth!

Burger Chef was the bomb! The "Big Shef" was a great tasting burger and the chocolate shakes were to die for. Back in '75 or '76, Burger Chef passed out scratch-out trivia game cards...the workers would always give you extra cards. The game was so easy that I didn't pay for food all summer. Maybe that's why they went out of business? Hasty Tasty was another great restaurant in the Dayton,OH area that went out of business...best fried chicken I ever had. I was in Dayton a couple of weeks ago and ate a sausage pizza at Marion's. Nothing like it!
