[WUSATV9.com] EXCLUSIVE: Presidential Plans Found In Trash
WUSATV9.com ^ | May 9, 2006 | Bruce Leshan

It appears to be a White House staff schedule for the President's trip to Florida Tuesday. And a sanitation worker was alarmed to find in the trash long hours before Mr. Bush left for his trip.

It's the kind of thing you would expect would be shredded or burned, not thrown in the garbage. Randy Hopkins could not believe what he was seeing.

There on the floor next to a big trash truck was a thick sheaf of papers with nearly every detail of the President's voyage.

“I saw locations and names and places where the President was going to be. I knew it was important. And it shouldn't have been in a trash hole like this,” he said.

[snip]

The documents details the exact arrival and departure time for Air Force One, Marine One and the back up choppers, Nighthawk 2 and Three.

It lists every passenger on board each aircraft, from the President to military attaché with nuclear football. It offers the order of vehicles in the President's motorcade.

So this guy finds in the WH trash what could be a very important document regarding the safety and security of the President of the United States and the first thing he does is take it to a News Station?

I hope the bastard gets audited.

Yeah Todd Mcdermott was all but &#%@$ing himself last night over this. Hopefully the dumpster diving bum that found the docs got more than a 10 second sound bite out of it.

I love the final line here. Talk about a "cliff hanger"...

The Secret Service referred us to a White House spokeswoman, who declined to comment on the record. Some of this information in the document goes out to the media before every Presidential trip. But we're always told not to publish it.

And there are a whole lot of details in it that we do NOT get.

Oh really like what? Bush's secret plans to take out Iran and Syria before nap time? Results from the Presiden't prostate exam? His favorite candy bars? Tune in next week, same bat time, same bat channel.

I heard about this on the radio this morning.

If true, it sounds like some staffer in the White House is in really big trouble. Career-ending trouble.

My exact first thought.

I believe a computer disk was found in a park near the White House. I think it was during the Clinton administration, but I'm not sure.

On Fox this morning, they said he called the WH and they didn't seem interested. Not sure what the real story is.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm....

Not sure if I believe that the WH was "not interested". That seems to smack of a CYA statement.

Think I will withold judgement on this one while it plays out.

When I was a waiter in college and Pat Buchanan was running for President back in 1992. The secret service left his detailed iteerary on the table at my restaraunt. I rolled it up and stuck it in my pocket for a souvenir. About an hour later they came back for it. The agent didn't say anything, he didn't have to. I just handed it over.

I agree. I'm not sure we have the whole story here. Hopefully Brit Hume will have it tonight.

Maybe the papers were intended to be picked up by someone plotting assasination like an al queda type and the garbage man got there first?

Documents of that nature do not become available unless someone in a position of control allows their placement.

President Bush may have enemies in his White House who are aiding and abeting.
