Sometime in the late 1950's, a speaker came to my high school. I've had many occasions to remember his words with vivid clarity. "Communism will destroy this country from within. Guns and bombs will not be necessary."
I fear those words are coming true.

Unfortunately, I hold little hope that things will improve without getting far worse first. Too many people are asleep with the mental novocain of legal and illegal drugs, millions of TV channels, shopping, the newest tech gadgetry, internet porn, and gossip. Greed for more and more material goods takes the place of real convictions and faith, and living for higher principles.

You are welcome, but I have no problem with whatever people want to do, that's liberty, and we've lost to much already.
I have a problem with a Govt that has operated outside the constitution since biz got Govt to create the ICC to protect them from small competitors at taxpayer expense. This is the core root of Govt's largesse and corruption and we are trillions in debt. That we are so dumbed down we can thank educrats for mainly. Academe, govt & media were first places progressive elites concentrated their cash in conditioning Americans to accept the progressivism copied from euro-dictators.
I'd really like to hear your opinion of those articles when you get the chance - they show us things we never learned in screwel!
Thanks, I will get to them asap (not sure about today yet) and get back with my .02, for what they're worth (the cents, that is). I'm an uneducated fool, high school dropout. But I can read, and still have a couple of brain cells to fool around with.
I'm not saying any of the above mental novocain should be illegal (barring a couple of them...) but there's so much wrong with the picture that people have essentially become slaves without knowing it. Will read your links with interest.
Gramscii didn't count on the Islamic world watching the decay of the West, though. The Left tends to overestimate its own brilliance in this regard. When the war between the West and Islam becomes hot enough, I think you'll see the thin veneer of progressive thought evaporate. At least I hope so. I'm sure as hell not counting on the ACLU to protect me from a terrorist nuclear device.
Steve: what is happeninng here with illegal (mostly Latino) immigration almost exactly parallels what has happened in Europe with Muslim immigration.
Progressive (communist) groups see illegals as the new "proletariat.' Given this view, it's easy to see that the neo-proletariat is the Left's new revolutionary army----if they can enflame the new 'soldiers' to fight, that is.
Among the agitators were Mexica and Aztlan. But behind them were MALDEF, LULAC and the rest of the communist matrix---funded by Soros, Ford, Rockefeller, etc.

Agreed. The Left is an aggregate of narcissists. Narcissists are known for 'overestimating' their own'brilliance." With regards to jihadists, on the one-hand, the Left views jihadists as a weapon of mass destruction to be wielded against America. Thus the Left has what Horowitz termed, an "unholy alliance" with jihadists.
But on the other hand, the Left is dearly afraid of the jihadists. This was recently evidenced by how the national and international progressive community reacted towards the Mohammed cartoons, by not publishing them. No matter how they rationalized their actions, they were done out of fear.
It's as though the narcissistic Progressive community, users of people that they are, have a snarling, man-eating tiger by the tail which they fear being devoured by, but nevertheless hope that they can control it and use it to destroy America.
The real world and books by the trustworthy, will stead you way better than today's Churchillian festering pustules of close mindedness, er, multiculturalism!

One exercise that usually wakes up a lot of people is to have them compare the ten planks of the Communist Manifesto vs. the Constitution then see which one our fedgov appears to be operating under.
If they're still a little groggy have them check out the 45 (?) goals of communism and see how many have been either attained or are close.
