No prob, American dink. Turning there back on American soldiers? Last I checked Incirlik Air Base was still there, last I checked Turkey was still in NATO and last I checked the Turks were still holding the North flank against PKK, the syrians and iran.

From what I recall reading at the time, there was also a lot of pressure from EU (France in particular) for Turkey to not accept the U.S. Northern Front deal. Basically threathening to derail Turkey's EU accession talks if they let U.S. enter Iraq from their border.
