U.S. tipping Mexico to Minuteman patrols (telling the Mexican government)

While Minuteman civilian patrols are keeping an eye out for illegal border crossers, the U.S. Border Patrol is keeping an eye out for Minutemen -- and telling the Mexican government where they are. According to three documents on the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Web site, the U.S. Border Patrol is to notify the Mexican government as to the location of Minutemen and other civilian border patrol groups when they participate in apprehending illegal immigrants -- and if and when violence is used against border crossers.
A U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman confirmed the notification process, describing it as a standard procedure meant to reassure the Mexican government that migrants' rights are being observed.
"It's not a secret where the Minuteman volunteers are going to be," Mario Martinez said Monday.
"This ... simply makes two basic statements -- that we will not allow any lawlessness of any type, and that if an alien is encountered by a Minuteman or arrested by the Minuteman, then we will allow that government to interview the person."
Minuteman members were not so sanguine about the arrangement, however, saying that reporting their location to Mexican officials nullifies their effectiveness along the border and could endanger their lives.
"Now we know why it seemed like Mexican officials knew where we were all the time," said Chris Simcox, founder of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps. "It's unbelievable that our own government agency is sending intelligence to another country. They are sending intelligence to a nation where corruption runs rampant, and that could be getting into the hands of criminal cartels.
"They just basically endangered the lives of American people."

Until a month ago, immigration wasn't anything I had on my list of top 100 concerns. Until the media started talking about it.The media started this? lol
Isn't that a bit like saying George Bush started the WoT?

Isn't it time we citizens woke up to the fact and openly admit that we have been operating under the illusion that we have a two party system?
We clearly don't. Other than arguing over who gets to feast on the corpse, the Democrats and Republicans have the same goals, just different ideas on who should benefit. The aim of both parties is to kill the nation state, kill it's sovereignty, Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence.
The only argument between the two tribes of predators is who to turn us over to, the E.U., the Demonrats want to turn us over to the E.U. to feast on our carcass, while the Republicans want to turn us over to the the Free Trade Zone of the Americas to share our carcass.. That is the only difference between the elites in both parties. Aided and abetted by spineless congress critters too fearful to go up against this Juggernaut.
Your very gut should verify the truth of this. While the majority of Americans are fighting mad, any demonstration on the streets better not happen during an episode of American Idol.
Of course the USofA would be the first goal of globalist to kill the nation state, if it can happen here, all other nations will never possess the power or will to withstand the onslaught. I believe it's pretty much hopeless, Americans no long have a fire in their bellies, we are lazy, deliberately blind out of fear, decadence, and the unwillingness to meet the challenges and sacrifices necessary to lay down our comy lifestyle and fight. It's time to adjust, adapt, and improvise.

who have violated no other other? Don't bogart that joint, my friend. ;^)
I will not deny that 12million foreigners in my store who steal one candy apiece represents a substantial loss to my business. Or should I turn the other cheek as the blind monkey driving your wagon train hollers "wagon ho!"?

I am really curious...one question...what would you do if there weren't these threads to rant on, insult people and name call, what would you be doing?
Maybe even one of you can explain to me what you get out of being dirt nasty?
~Just curious because I honestly just don't get it?
The stamina doing this ever since I've been here...hopefully one of you will answer with an honest answer of what do you gain?

Are you talking about the poll tax inacted to keep black's from political power at the 1800's and ended up keeping poor white's from voting as well? Wasn't that outlawed in the 60's by congress?
Just curious, why would you ask that? I am from the South, but grew up in California.

What I said, to another freeper, is that immigration wasn't even on my list of 100 things to be concerned about. Until the media started talking about it 24/7.

I've read that 3 times now - can you try stating your point a little more direct? Maybe it's me - I'm also watching "The Deadliest Catch" on Discovery Channel.

Those are not deportations of aliens living and working here illegally.
Those are folks caught at the border or entry points and turned away or sent back via bus the next morning.
Actual roundups and deportations of illegals living and working here is more like around 100,000 per year.

I'M the one being nasty? People have been insulting me all night. You can't possibly be so blind that you didn't notice that. And you think I'm not allowed to respond? Try rereading the thread and LOOK at what people have said to me all night. And then lose the fake shock that I would actually say something back to them.

[JP]I have nevre called for his impeachment and it does not equate bushbot [tf]You are a bit smarter than the other morons.
Well, why should I or anyone care where YOU draw the line between moron and non-moron?
Your homepage is pretty generic and doesn't require a high IQ to understand. As for your laughing at the Minutemen, you are not making the sacrifices they have made and are making.
On the other hand, I've been following Piper's posts for a few months now and, as well as having a meeting of the minds, we share respect and warmth.
So, remind me again why your assessments of others matter?

For many of us in the SW it's been a growing problem and on our radar long before the media started talking about it, we're being overwhelmed here, literally not just from sheer numbers of people, but schools, hospitals, prisons, drugs. gangs, etc..

As for your laughing at the Minutemen, you are not making the sacrifices they have made and are making. Sacrifices? LMAO. This is more attention than they have received in their entire lives.

I want you to be right, every bit of my knowledge and instinct tells me this is going to end in bloodshed. You know, I remember reading fear stories about the Vietnam boat people, who were brought to the United States in fairly significant numbers in the mid 70s (though not 12 million). Communities would not take them because they feared they wouldn't assimilate, or learn English.
You don't notice the Vietnamese much, do you, except when their kids are consistenly named salutatorian and valedictorian at high school commencements.
I have no fears of bloodshed as I have a high opinion of the generosity and munificence of the majority of the American people, and the goodwill of the vast majority of the Mexican immigrants.
