I'm more upset with Conservatives than I am with George W. Bush

Posted on 05/08/2006 7:04:26 PM PDT by mwfsu84

If I had told you on 9/11/2001 that we'd go four and half years and counting without another terrorist attack on US soil, would you have believed me?

If I had told you that US-led forces would secure Afghanistan in just a few months...something the Soviets couldn't accomplish in ten years...would you have thought I was crazy?

If I had told you that Saddam was gone, that Khadaffy had renounced terrorism, and that Iraq was on the verge of becoming the second democracy in the Middle East, would have thought I was on medication?

Sometimes in our disappointment of this administration, we often forget some of the positives. The economy is strong. More Americans are homeowners. With tax cuts, we're spending less time working for Uncle Sam.

And if you take those benefits for granted, just imagine how much different things would be under a President Al Gore.

So if the president's stance on immigration and spending upset you - and they do upset me - what are you going to do about it? Stay at home? Nothing could be worse for conservativism. Your non-support will usher in more immigrants, higher taxes, and weaker national security.

If the GOP loses Congress, George W. Bush will be removed from office. Nothing would embolden terrorists more. How can we be counted on to wage an effective war when we can't even decide who our enemy is?

George W. Bush isn't the enemy. But that's exactly the message conservatives will send to the world if they stay at home this November.

If you're upset with W. on immigration - write him, write a Republican Congressman, let him know how you feel. It was conservatives who got Bush to change his mind on Harriet Meirs.

I promise you, a Democratic Congress won't be nearly as responsive to your needs.

It's not just one issue. I voted for Bush in 2000 and 2004 for our nation to become independent on foreign oil by means of drilling our own oil and building new refineries. Bush is now talking conserving and cars that run on grass clippings.

School Vouchers...DEAD (despite the GOP majority)

Social Security Reform...DEAD

More and more crosses are coming down off our buildings

We're treating terrorist prisoners more and more like a liberal kidnergarden class

Our borders are open and I guarantee you that the terrorists who come to the US to do the next attack will NOT be coming to the US through our airports. They will be coming into this nation through the border. When they do, the dems will have a field day and it WILL cost the republicans. We must avoid this for national security purposes and political purposes.

Hasn't EARNED her lofty vote?

Well she is a "goddess" after all. I think Rosanne Barr referred to herself as some kind of goddess too.

Ohio is way more conservative than you are. You ARE a troll. Calling other people names and mocking them doesn't make it any less true.

They're the ones who can't understand that a temporary setback can sometimes be the price for what it takes to avert a major disaster down the road.

Pay your own damn price somewhere else; and there will be NO down the road.

How many times and ways is there to say that

If the DNC gets control of this government again, they are going to DISMANTLE the ELECTORAL COLLEGE and you won't get a CHANCE to rectify your ignorant stance.

This is ALL you need to know:

Nancy Pelosi - Speaker of the House

Harry Reid -- Majority Leader

Robert Byrd -- Appropriations

Carl Levin -- Armed Services

Joe Biden - Foreign Relations

Ted Kennedy - Health, Education, Labor & Pensions

Joe Liebermann - Homeland Security

Patrick Leahy - Judiciary

Chris Dodd -- Rules and Administration

---

Tom Lantos - International Relations

John Conyers - Judiciary

Charles Rangel - Ways & Means

Jane Harman - Intelligence

Barney Frank - Financial Services

Henry Waxman - Government Reform

Plain and simple, you're a damn fool if you do ANYTHING that puts ANY of those people back in power.

Totally agree. Illegal immigration touches on a lot of law and order issues and the preservation of services for the taxpayers that paid for them and not simply the crime of trespassing the border to look for work.

Who can count the number of stories of illegals with no license and no insurance that get in automobile accidents that end often in death and almost certainly in the serious injury of citizens and immigrant alike? And I haven't even touched on those with real ciminal intent (who rob, rape, and murder) that break into our country!

Lives, productive effort, and capital are gone forever because of lax enforcement. Where is that in the analysis? Why is it so much to ask that something be done about it now rather than after November?

ROTFLMAO!

I'd ping her but I can't recall her the other portion of her name and I'm sure as heck not going to search for it.

I think "seems" is the operative word here. Everyone has an agenda, and Freepers are no exception.

I have said it before, and I will say it again: If this election doesn't mean anything then why are the Democrats so hell bent on winning it?

Perot in '92 gave us 8 years of Bill. I guess angry Conservatives will now give us 8 years of Hillary

New taxes after promising "NO NEW TAXES" gave us 8 years of Hillary. Lack of credibility gave us the Clintons.

You assume correctly :)

It's worse than that, why, DU controls over half of the membership of this board apparently according to this poll. ;-)

Free Republic Opinion Poll: If the White House and GOP controlled congress does not act immediately to seal the borders, penalize employers who hire illegals and deport illegals when caught, how will it affect your vote in November?

Composite Opinion
I will continue to vote GOP 40.4% 4,792
I will vote third party 31.8% 3,775
I will stay home 21.3% 2,531
I will vote for the Democrat 6.5% 773
100.0% 11,871

Member Opinion
I will continue to vote GOP 45.9% 2,018
I will vote third party 31.4% 1,379
I will stay home 20.1% 882
I will vote for the Democrat 2.7% 118
100.1% 4,397

Non-Member Opinion
I will continue to vote GOP 37.1% 2,774
I will vote third party 32.1% 2,396
I will stay home 22.1% 1,649
I will vote for the Democrat 8.8% 655
100.1% 7,474

Are there Liberal trolls here? Yes. In these numbers? No.

That spam wasn't any more true the last time you posted it than it is now.

What was it you said earlier about hating dishonesty? So what's that say about the dishonesty of re-posting something that had already been demonstrated to you to be false?

Howlin, you just scared the sox off me with that list.

Now, I won't be able to sleep.

There's not one item on that list that...

Well, can I move to France with Alex Baldwin? Oh, wait, he didn't go, did he? Just stayed here and annoyed us.

I wouldn't go with him anyway. We've gotta stop that from happening.

Ronnie ended the Cold War, and vetoed spending like mad. I voted for him twice.

Ronnie did a great job with that Cold War thing.

However, apparently he didn't veto spending enough. Federal spending as a percentage of GDP averaged 22.5% during his two terms.

Last I looked, it was around 19.5% for GWB.

Like mad, that's lower.
