BTW, your age and physical condition could make a difference in where you live.
I lived in Leadville for a short time and worked in the hospital there. We frequently saw tourists with respiratory problems in our ER due to the 10,430 foot elevation. We also had a lot of underweight babies born up there.
Years later, I also met a very disappointed gentleman from Texas who had intended to retire to Estes Park (7,700 feet). Unfortunately, he discovered that he could only stay there if he went on oxygen full time.
Just a thought.
