Come to think of it, 28 from 50 north to the toll road was never that jammed up until just before the toll road exit. I drove it every workday on the way home.
But from 50 south to 66 is hellacious, I remember one time it took us maybe 20+ minutes to do that little stretch, bumper to bumper.
I came through there once during rush hour and there was a concert at the Nissan Pavillion.

Yes, 28 soutbound is a parking lot between about Westfields Rd. and I66 in the afternoon hours.
Today I decided to take 28 north to some side streets to US15 to I66 to get home. One of them was actually a dirt road (couldn't tell from the map).
50 miles, but it took only about an hour and 10 minutes and I'd rather be in the car for that long actually moving at speed vs. crawling along at 15MPH wearing the clutch out...
