WMAL news (AM 630) said they have not located the shooter's parents yet!

It is interesting to note that the sound bites on the "news" today (radio, anyway) don't mention the connection between the officer who was killed, her serving the warrant, and the original crime of the argument and Kennedy killing the dog.
Obviously, this kid was a severly disturbed individual. Any info on the parents??
What a tragedy for the officer murdered, the other injured officers, their families and the police force in Fairfax County. My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims.

While Moose had the public looking for a white van, it was actually two black guys in a blue car who were murdering people at will.

That can't be good. Have they said anything about whether the dirtbag had brothers/sisters? I can just bet the anti-gun scum are going to try and play this for all it's worth. It won't get them anywhere however. So far pro-self-defense laws keep rolling out of the works.

The Fairfax County Police have been in contact with Kennedy's family.
Back in April...Kennedy broke out of the Potomac Ridge Behavioral Health Center sometime after 6:30 p.m. Police arrived shortly after 10 p.m. to investigate. About an hour later, Fairfax County police arrested Kennedy in a stolen Toyota 4-Runner in their jurisdiction
More info here and here.

You may be misreading the comment about the dog - it sounds to me that the suspect was served with that warrant because he (rather than the officer serving him with the warrart) shot the dog ...
Good point. Many thanks. I will follow this story with interest.
Best regards,

One of the local TV stations reported the shooters street address. I wont post it. I looked up the real estate records. Townhouse built in 1983, purchased in 1990, currently assessed at $320,000. Man and woman both with same last name as shooter are listed as owners. The shooter's Myspace webpage can be seen *here*.

Sure was. My son was working a job 3 blocks from there when it all happened. He said every police unit from the surrounding area seemed to be there. Took him 2.5 hours to make the normally 20 minute drive home.
