"Most "Darwinists" (as you call those who understand science) that I know are Christians."

Most church goers, and I go to a church with a representative sample, are indeed Darwinists, aka mateialists for short, so we agree on that point.

Only they don't know why they have surrendered without a fight to that philosophical position.

They just know that even beginning to struggle against it will invite ridicule, and most church goers don't have the stomach for it.

They call themselves Christians, too, but suffering, of any kind, and the purposes of suffering are avoided pretty much at all times. This outlook tends to limit the strong meat effects of the Christian way as it was orignially intended.

So, the p.m's, naturally, step into this yellow chasm of cowardice, and mop up. And even though the professional priests of athiestic science are dangerous, the reality is that legions of chicken-hearted fools in churches made the room for them that has made the moral wasteland we live in today inevitable.

But if enough people turn into the wind and spit, the weather will change. I drink plenty of water to stay ready....

Perhaps the problem is not that Christians who accept evolution do not realise that they are materialists, but rather that you do not realise that acceptance of the theory of evolution does not imply accepting a philosophy of materialism. I am curious, have you considered the possiblity that you are mistaken on this point?

"Darwinists, aka mateialists for short"

"Darwin" has 2 syllables, 6 letters

"mateial" has 3 syllables, 7 letters. (And "material" has 8)

Oh, and Materialists: Believers in the objective existance of matter. (There are some religions which disagree with this opinion)

In your not-so-humble opinion?

TToE is NOT a philosphical thing. It is a scientific theory. Turning people to ignorance on purpose, which such nonsense as Creationism and ID, which have no emperical evidence, and worse, using that ignorance to attempt to discredit TToE is doing the work of Satan -- period. Trying to discredir the Theory of Evolution is the same as trying to discredit the Theory of Gravity.

Christianity is the belief in Christ as God's son, who died for Humanity's sins. Neither you nor your ilk get to set the parameters on what is "true" Christianity.
