Okay, I hope this thread doesn't become a bitch 'n moan session about the borders.
G.W.B. has bounced back before; will he this time?
Since the sleazeclowns at USA Today won't let us post quotes, I'll just paraphrase: Bush is at 31% approval.

The President needs to make cessation of illegal entry into the US an issue by demanding our Southern border become secure. He might even accentuate the positive by sending some help down there.
People are distrustful of a leader who can wage a foreign war but not protect the domestic tranquility.

The 6 year war against this President has taken it's toll. Remember the infamous demoncrat memo? They have succeeded in destroying him in the eyes of the nation and the world, and obviously even among many in his own party. You would think Republicans would have more sense.

Bush No Longer Seen as Effective Manager (Gallup has Bush @ 31%) The polls will show this because he "didn't have sex with that woman" and didn't lie in front of the Grand Jury.
Oh, and he isn't a Democrat.

The bottom line is the left is SELECTING the news stories that push the numbers down. The DNC has nothing to promote themnselves, insead we are left with all immigration all the time.
even FNC is falling for the immigration spin.
(This morning they screwed up and forgot to mention ILLEGAL ALIENS VOTING IS A FELONY!)
This is about trying to replicate 1994.

Whatever his poll numbers are doesn't really matter. He's on the downhill stretch of his last term in office.
The only people who really count at this point are the Congresscritters and Senators who are up for re-election in November.
They are the ones who need to be worried about their job performance.
Right now I'd give them overall an "F" but many individuals a B+ to an A.
