That raises another question: Was she in bed with him when he got up in a daze, got in the car, and drove toward the Capitol to vote at 3:00 a.m., or did he pick her up along the way? If the former, was she 'dazed' too and was she also going to vote? If the latter, which street does she work?

You just can't make some of this stuff up.
Hopefully some of the dim bulbs in the media will also pick up on the real meaning of his "I've got to vote" line. This poor "dazed and confused" Congresscritter was invoking the Speech and Debate Clause of the Constitution. That Clause gives a Congressman virtually full immunity from arrest when he is traveling to and from a vote in Congress. Patches knew perfectly well what he was doing.
