I have always liked Porter Goss ever since the first time I had the opportunity to see him on the House floor. He has always seemed to be an honest stand up guy. I remember him being very skeptical about what Clinton was doing in Haiti.
What I find distasteful is that the hbm appears to be trying to tie him to some prostitution ring. Perhaps it was his aide. Perhaps that's why he resigned. Buy I would be willing to bet the farm that Porter Goss was not using the services of hookers. There's also the possibility that Goss just got tired of dealing with those spoiled leaking brats at the agency.
I wish him the best in whatever he chooses to do with the rest of his life.
O'R SAYS he's not a Conservative, and he's not. He's more of a populist. But you're right, he gives the pretty women more of a pass...

O'R is much more conservative than liberal. I agree with him more often than not. Do you?

I agree with O'R on the culture war and judges. I can't deal with him when he starts attacking oil companies for "excess profits". He doesn't like the death penalty, which I'm for. He's always for "the folks" even whe "the folks" don't get a vote.

Does anyone have the url for the house conservative voting ratings??? Got to vote tomorrow in primary between Heineman and Dr Tom. Am leaning toward Heineman because he is against in state tuition. But want to check out Osborne's overall voting record, cause I am in no way a one issue voter. It is the only real difference I can see in the three Pub candidates

My brother-in-law lives in Chino but works in L.A. He's been saying similar things about the Mexican influx for years now and since we don't get out there too often, it's admittedly difficult for me to understand how serious the situation has become. But I try to -- the entire country could very well have to deal with the same scenario, which is totally scarey.
I'm just not sure...when he talks about "Conservative Kool-Aide" my blood runs cold. He makes off like he's a middle of the roader, and I frankly am a Conservative. And he's more than a bit pompous, a lot more than Rush...But...to each his own. If you like O'Reilly, that's cool...
I guess my sense of humor has taken a powder since Tony isn't on anymore. The good news is I'm getting all kinds of stuff done around here.
BTW, for anyone who cares, the turkeys have stopped coming to our feeders. However, last night a bear was here and trashed the place. Poor birdies were sitting there this morning wondering what the bleep happened to their food. I have managed to salvage enough so the birds can still eat. Don't have a clue what we're going to do tonight. Might take the metal barrels with bird food, mix in a lot of mothballs to kill the smell and put them in the cellar. Guess we'll have to empty the feeders and put them sway too. I was out looking for bear sign and found a huge pile of you know what. So they not only trashed my feeders, they pooped on my flowers. Bad bears.
I said i agree with him more often than not, and that most Freepers probably would. That he is a pompous ass may or may not be true, but agreeing with his positions more often than not doesn't have much to do with him being an arse or not.
