A judge has begun delivering the verdict in the trial of ex-deputy president Jacob Zuma as supporters rallied outside the court to hear whether the man they see as South Africa's next president will be found guilty of rape.
Once the frontrunner to succeed President Thabo Mbeki, Zuma is accused of raping an HIV-positive woman at his Johannesburg home six months ago, a charge he denies, testifying that he had unprotected, consensual sex with the woman.

A guilty verdict could see Zuma spend between five and 15 years in jail, and bury the career of one of South Africa's most charismatic leaders.
But an acquittal would give the 64-year-old veteran an opportunity to revive his campaign for the presidency, exacerbating tensions within the governing African National Congress (ANC), which swept to power with the end of apartheid in 1994.
At the outset of his ruling, Afrikaner Judge Willem van der Merwe addressed Zuma in his native Zulu language, telling him that "the judgment will be very long" before he began summarizing evidence in the case in English.

Is his middle name Bubba?
Add to the all-time list of bad ideas.
He'll just rape an underage virgin to cure himself... /dripping sarcasm
Sometimes really underage.
> Is his middle name Bubba?
Nelson Mandela wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but the guy had courage. Mbeki was trained in Moscow and is a genuine nutcase. Now with Zuma, South African leadership has truly sunk to clintonian depths. Could things get any worse? Of course...look what Mugabe's done up in Zim.
Norm Early pioneered the Black Prosecutors' Association. The Black Prosecutors' Association works handily with the feminist groups.
Did you also know... that organizations has "fingers" all over Africa, South Africa, too? There are articles within the "community" discussing whether or not President Bush intends to "turn Africa into a free market nation". Nonetheless, I shall have to do some digging to find out what "accused" what platforming on.
Coincidence, no doubts, and about the timing of this story

Hmm. Ambassadors for Change, Howard Dean's "Vehicle for Change". My my. interesting.
Why would I even think to look at this stuff?
The UN Conference at Durban, Africa (held August 31, 2001-September 7, 2001) -- wherein the UN tried to aggressively declare the UNITED STATES, BRITAIN AND ISRAEL as RACIST NATIONS.
Collin Powell and others walked OUT of that meeting. Then, 9-11 happened.
John Hope Franklyn, Duke University, recently held a seminar on "reparations" ad nauseum. He's been authoring pieces on the Duke Story.
Again, I have little data about this case in Africa. But, I'm not so sure a fair trial can be had. It's a he said/she said. I don't yet KNOW much more than this.
Of course, I'll be told to put my tinfoil hat on; but I don't need one.
But maybe this person does.
Not guilty....as was widely expected, this is the *new!* *improved!* South Africa, remember.
