"Mission: Impossible 3" had a tough weekend: The total take, according to boxofficemojo.com, came to $48 million. And this was a wide, wide release: More than 4,000 theaters unreeled Tom Cruise and companys latest adventure if you wanted to see it. The problem, it seems, is that a lot of people didnt.
How to measure the "M:I:3" opening weekend? Last year, "War of the Worlds," Cruises last movie, earned $64.8 million on its opening. The number of theaters was comparable...."

No doubt about it. I have such an adverse reaction to this nutcase that I don't even watch reruns of movies that he is in that I liked. He's just too off putting.
The real "Mission Impossible" will be reviving Cruise's career now that he's advertised what a complete and utter kook he is.
Jack Bauer and 24 is a better deal.
Plus, look what it was going up against. No other big films opened over the weekend.
Xenu has Cruise's number. Watch out, Tom.
Xenu is gonna GETCHA!
I wouldn't go to see it, even at gunpoint.
"Tom Cruise, you come out of that closet right now!"
Much better!
Jack Bauer and 24 is a better deal.
You are 100 percent correct!!!!!!
I'm surprised it did 48 million. Are there that many Scientologists around?
I hear they are making a 24 film.

Me too. I used to think he was a great actor (Top Gun, A few good men and Jerry McGuire), but then he made that stupid eye wide open (in my case, eye closed shut)...anyway, for awhile now, he has just become so strange that it is difficult to even watch him anywhere. I usually give actors a pass on their weirdness, but this guy has gone too far (especially picking on Brooke!!!!! Like he can tell her how to care for herself). Then the whole Katie situation pisses me off because she is so weak to see that he will ruin her life, but at 27/8 what can we say. Anyway, he is totally off my list of movies to see him in probably forever unless he has some major change of behavior.
Couple that with your leading "man" acting like a complete lunatic off-screen, and I'm surprised they're even going to make their money back.
I agree. You look at him on the screen, and all the while you are thinking about the off-screen wierdness. It's just distracting.
I'm getting to the point where I just prefer actors whom I don't know. Half the "stars" are just terrible, anyway. And the other half have too much baggage. There are plenty of good "no-names" out there.
