In Kennedy's case, his treatment for addiction appears to be a political move to get the criminal behavior excused. In order to solve an addiction problem, you have to want to solve the problem. I hope Kennedy is sincere in wanting to control his problem, but I have my doubts.
I hope he gets clean also. However, it really bothered me that he had a press conference the day he was headed to rehab. He was probably injected with something just to get him through that.
