are you listening to the seriousness of the questions from the reporters to the comedian pretending to be the President

Wasn't that delightful! I loved his answers. The guy is really smart and quick on his feet.

minimum wage has not been raised in over 8 years.

Why do these idiots want to make it impossible for a worker with less than $7 and hour skills to get a job? How are they going to develop $7 and higher skills without the ability to get an entry level position?

It will be OK as long as Newt stays away from comments like...

Well you know Tim, when I was running the House...

Other than Brit there is no intellectually honest person on TV. Sorry to say.

There are still many folks with no access to the internet and depend on the news at the top of the hour on the radio for their info.

We need to speak up and out in social settings to be sure that the truth is spoken too.

Re: PattyCake coverup

1) Would that be a written statement from a girl still in the tidal basin?

2) Would that be how he received the name "Patches"?

They want to fix prices at low level so they can score political points

Thanks for that explanation and I'm sure you are right about what they want to do. As we all kow, price fixing is a GREAT way to destroy something.

Ever since Newt opined that hilaryclinton was the most knowledable person on the topic of health care, I have had zero interest in his comments on anything.

These unhappy Republicans are NOT going to vote in Pelosi and Reid to leadership of the House and Senate. Unhappy Republicans are signalling their Republican office holders to go on offence. We have six months for them to show that they get the message.

And if they are not sufficiently pure and do exactly what you demand, are you going to sit on your ass and let Pelosi and Reid run the Congress? I sure hope that is not your plan because that is no plan.

the minority can't filibuster in the House of Representatives. That's a Senate technique.

There are other tools, but none that effective.

1) Would that be a written statement from a girl still in the tidal basin?

Are you thinking of Wilbur Mills and stripper Fanne Foxe 974?

"A chance encounter between police and a speeding car on October 7, 1974, eventually ended the career of one of America's most powerful congressmen. When police stopped the automobile of Arkansas Democrat Wilbur D. Mills, one of Mills's passengers, a burlesque performer with the stage name Fanne Foxe, dove into the Tidal Basin – and into Washington folklore."

"Before long the details of Mills's alcoholism, extramarital relationship with Foxe, and bizarre behavior were splashed onto the front pages. Mills lost first his chairmanship of the House Ways and Means Committee and then his seat in Congress, choosing retirement in 1976 rather than a difficult reelection campaign.
