Well in recent years, when people "threw their vote away" on Jesse Ventura in Minnesota and Angus King in Maine, they were elected Governor without a "D" or "R" next to their name, so never say never. However, I would agree with you that there is a 95% chance the next Governor of California will be either liberal Dem Westly/Angelies or liberal Republican Arnold.

FYI, Gavin Newsom is quite pleased with your boy.

The only way Arnold can get elected, is exactly by running to the center and center left, especially after the failed special election propositions, which revealed him as a strong fiscal conservative.
