snipe, you are making a an error of tragic consequences when you say,

I will vote for the conservative,
whether he is a
Democrat, Republican, or Independent.

The most obnoxious RINO on Earth is not going to approve the left-wing appointments the most conservative Democrat or Independent might support.

The appointed people, Judges especially, have far more power to screw up your life and the country than any Federal or State elected official will ever have.

Need an example? Look at the 30 years of havoc caused by Jimmy Carter Jerk Judges. Look at the destruction of the CIA and FBI. You think a Valerie Plame, Sandy Berger, or any number of lingering scum-moles are going to be appointed by any Republican ... even one you perceive as a bad one?

I'll be back later on this afternoon or evening to explain what I am saying {again}. Got to go to a doctors appointment. I will say this before I go though I have seen RINO's screw things up well beyond what a self proclaimed liberal did. Actually the Liberal was far more conservative. I'll explain it later. But most of it is FR history under the Tennessee State Income Tax revolt and a RINO governor.

Let me show you something I have kept in my computer since 1999. Just a paragraph.

Re-elected to a second term last year with a record 69 percent of the vote, Governor Sundquist has initiated unprecedented reforms in Tennessee in the areas of welfare, government and crime, while placing a special emphasis on Tennessee children. Under his watch, the growth of government spending has been cut by more than half; the number of employable adults on welfare has been reduced by 60 percent; and Tennessee became the first state in the nation to connect every public school and library to the Internet and to offer universal health care coverage to all children.

Ok was that a DEM agenda or a GOP governors agenda? And who would say such nonsense? Who would praise such a governor and why? Even go as far as to say lie and say that man cut spending? The answer was in the paragraph before it in the first two sentences shown below.

"Governor Sundquist is a valued colleague and a good, close friend, and I am honored to have his support" said Governor Bush. "Don is devoted to welfare reform and better education for the people of Tennessee.

Yes GW Bush said it. Sundquist was the second worst governor in the history of the state second only to a man who sold clemency for cash among other things. His actions like trying to establish a state income tax were also endorsed by none other than Former governor and now senator Lamar Alexander. You see Sundquist was tern limited out. This was after several attempts at a state income tax, corruption in the states so called Universal Health Care System taken from Hillary Clintons dream, and a near bankrupted state budget.

This form us full of history on the Tennessee Tax revolt. Look at my bookmarks relating to Tenn Care, Sundquist, Tennessee Tax revolt etc and you'll see no Republicans in this forum liking that RINO.

A DEM was elected and he was a self proclaimed Liberal. No mention of a state income tax. He told the HMO scamming the state either straighten up or he would shut it down and he did greatly reduce the number of persons on Tenn Care and made it accountable. Also we have a budget surplus. He is the most Conservative governor we have had in at least 50 years from either party. Not perfect by any means but a lot better than previous ones from both parties including Lamar Alexander.

Don't let the letters D & R determine who you votes for. Forget the party name and choose the candidate on their own merit. The idea is to win conservative seats right? So why not put Dem who are conservative in office as well? This is mostly more visible on state and local elections. But watch the persons voting records if they run for a national seat they would be a better choice than a RINO.

BTW Judges? Not the big deal the RNC would like you to think. On a national level it is the duty of congress to hold Judges in check. Congress and many state lawmakers could make judges lives rough but they don't go there even when judges go against the obvious meanings of the Constitution by trying to legislate from the bench. Congress can impeach federal judges. Name me the ones in the past 10 years removed from the bench. The problem is the congress which allowed this to continue.

I stand by what I said. I will vote Conservative. I will not vote party for sake of party majorities. It is quite obvious now to see that doing such does not work as it only serves as Job Security for life long RINO's and Liberals. I will not support any parties liberal.

If a more conservative canidate runs against our governor I will vote for that canidate. The last time I voted for the Republican canidate who was more conservative which was Van Hilleary. I hope he runs again. If the GOP runs another liberal like Taxquist I will vote for Bredesen instead. I vote by what I see in an individual and not by what party chairman says.
