You can attribute that in part to the fickleness of the voting public. When Newt actually tried to implement the changes he promised, the Dems screamed "Fascism", and too much of the public bought it. Now, we had been conditioned by the Dems for half a century to act like that, and I think we're a little different now. Our leadership just needs to get theirselves in gear.
I am going to vote for the Constitutional Party in November.
