PHOENIX A special legislative panel is preparing to seek an Attorney General's Office investigation into whether the Tucson Unified School District and a guest speaker broke state laws against using school resources to influence elections.
A draft report obtained Friday also concludes that TUSD should remove the audio of what the panel called a "hate speech" by Dolores Huerta from its Web site immediately. It also says the district should apologize to students who were at the April 3 assembly where Huerta spoke and their parents.

Could it be that the Backlash is starting????
A month after her controversial remarks at Tucson High Magnet School, labor activist Dolores Huerta has come forward to defend her speech.
After remaining quiet through most of the subsequent debate about her April 3 "Republicans hate Latinos" comment, Huerta appeared on the Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor" on Tuesday to talk about her remarks.
Huerta, who has not returned calls from the Arizona Daily Star, dodged questions from host Bill O'Reilly about her position on whether the U.S.-Mexican border should be open or closed. But she defended her "Republican" comment, which O'Reilly called a "disservice" to the students. --snip--
I saw that "interview"--really, a lot of questions from O'R, and a lot of tapdancing from Huerta. I'm not sure she answered any of his questions at all, except the one on Republicans.
I just wish OR had said, after her long and tortured dance, "I'll take that as a Yes on open baorders".
Americans are getting fed up with people like Huerta and the screaming marchers with their egregious in-your-face demands and insults.
They have done more harm to their "cause" than they realize.
None of them seem to have any gratitude or loyalty to this country that they call home, and sadly, American politicians have fueled this fire with their on-their-knees pandering to anything "hispanic".
Our "leaders" have become whores for votes, at the expense of the American people.
I had to laugh this morning, a radio talk show host banned all talk of the open border on his program.
He has supported it, in the fine communist style, while all the time, complaining of the traffic and slow down that the gangs of illegals cause in Las Vegas.
That would be nice
