No one seems to question some things here -- like he says he cannot remember anything about the incident and he also says he didn't ask for special treatment from the Capital Police -- if he has no memory of the incident how does he KNOW he didn't ask for special treatment?

Ahhh..those Royals. Some people just can't live without them. Especially those who live in Massachusetts.

Just found a remarkable interview with Patrick "Can't Remember S***" Kennedy here:

http://www.insidepolitics.org/heard/Kennedy111200.html

"Congressman Patrick Kennedy appeared on "10 News Conference" on November 12, 2000 to discuss Election 2000, media coverage, and his yacht incident. The following is a transcript of that interview."

The first paragraphs deal with Bush v. Gore, then it gets personal:

-snip-
Jim Taricani: Congressman Kennedy is our guest today on 10 news channel. I have to ask you a question and I want you to be very honest now. Who was on the yacht? By name? Did you do any damage to the yacht and are you going to compensate?

Patrick Kennedy: First of all that's none of your business.

Jim Taricani: Why isn't it?

This is the incident where he owed money to a yacht rental company. There was another incident in which the Coast Guard was called about his altercation with a young woman on board his yacht.

Maybe the "mystery woman" at his apartment at two AM is married and her name has also conveniently disappeared into the foggy bottom of Patches' mind.

Oh, my......will there be an angry husband in the next act of this French farce?

“She tried to dissuade me” from leaving the house, he told The Providence Journal. “And she wishes she had done a better job dissuading me.” The unmarried lawmaker declined to give the woman’s name and says he only knows she tried to stop him because she has since told him so.

Aaaah, if only this woman had done a better job of saving Patrick, then he wouldn't have to go to the bother of press conferences and rehab. And car repair. Why oh why didn't she try harder. (with sarcasm and eyerolling)

Haha. Is he passive aggressive now? Someone else should have stopped him. I don't wish him any ill, I'm certainly pleased he didn't kill anyone or himself but he's got more work to do than just rehab. Sounds like he and his peeps are keeping him in a sheltered world where nothing is ever his fault.
