The Republican party is in disarray, but I can't understand those who just want to toss the whole thing and suffer through years of DUmmie victories to Teach A Lesson. (To who, the Republicans who will be thrown out and go on to lucrative private sector jobs?)
There is PLENTY of time to change this situation, and whining and "tossing them out" so the Dems get in isn't the way. The way is by pressuring our elected officials and pushing for conservatives to win primaries.
The party is in far better shape than the Dems because the changes we make as indicated by this piece will appeal to our base. The changes the Dems have to make to become a party of rationality would alienated so many of their hodgepodge coalition that it would shatter.
We can get our party back on track by working in that direction, not venting and howling. Just look at how far the Dems have to go to get on track, and you'll see how we are so much closer to re-energizing the party than they could ever be...unless they fake out the American public and get them to believe they're REALY moderates or even conservative, like Mrs. Family Values is attempting to do.

Like the 1950's ... and it would start all over again .. the relatively harmless, rebelious youth .. and because it would happen in the 2000 somethings .. it would become a police starte ... I'm afraid America is screwed .. we had a chance ... but it's gone ... the best we can do is slow down the decline.

Buck up, dust yerself off, and get back in the fight. You will anyway. Don't let minor setbacks like bad political trends get you down.
Or as I say whenever someone I know talks like that, "What would Ronald Reagan say if he heard you say that about America?"

Okay...
From the site you linked to:
"The 'war on terrorism" is not a proper excuse for perpetual U.S. occupation of foreign lands, military assaults on countries which have not injured us, or perpetual commitment of taxpayer dollars to finance foreign governments."

There's a lot of difference between the reps and the dims.
The republican party and all its politicians are under constant vicious attack over the tiniest misstep.
No president or party in power has had anything so awful as the 9/11 attack since pearl harbor.
So all the so called conservatives who constantly complain are becoming part of the problem, not working to make a stronger, more inclusive big tent party.

We have already agreed that we don't agree 100% with any party platform.
Re:

Mike Pence is a Republican. A Conservative Republican. A Conservative Republican in the United States Congress. Elected by the Conservative Republicans in my home state of Indiana. He is not and never has been a member of The Constitution Party.
Next time, read the article instead of just the headline.

LIBertarian or LIBeral... no difference I say!
Both sound ridiculous!!!
BTW, I disdain Rinos as much as anyone, but their presence as ELECTED officials enabled the SCOTUS to seat Roberts and Alito. dims would have given us two ruth bader ginsberg's... or WORSE!
