"When will Hollywood learn that Lex Luthor is NOT a stand-up comedian?"

I liked some of the lines in the first 2 Superman movies by Luthor. Like the "the greatest criminal mind surrounded by idiots". They had to have some kind of comedy. Superman was boring as hell as the rest of the charactors, excepting Lex Luthor. Though the fat guy was funny at times.

I won't see any Superman movies ever again.

Zod, I must admit was a good character.

Singer has said on several occasions that Spacey will NOT play Luthor as a campy role, the way hackman did. He said that was tired 70's stuff, and it just wouldn't play well now. And they're not RE-making the orgin story, just alluding to it. Though they say this isn't a sequel, it really is....it just picks up after the second film, and pretends that 3 and 4 never happened. For that alone, we all need to thank Singer.

Lex Luthor and General Zod were awesome evil doers. Campy and at the same time well...campy. I loved their lines in those Superman films. I mean, the movies were about comic books and they were the bad guys.

Terrance Stamp was great in "The Collector" and Gene Hackman in Superman and in Unforgiven ... I just wish that I could have shot him in by the time that I was in that part of that movie.  Clint has the gift.
