"His DNA sequence is of a type generally found in Asia, but the only exact match was a member of the Han ethnic group in eastern China.(Does anyone remember who were the ancient people found there?)"

The only 'new' news in the article. What a kick in the butt, huh? These skeletons are far, far older than the Han.

Would help if they at least told us what haplogroup it was.

Hey, you could get you picture on the cover of Archaeology Magazine if you could connect Kennewick Man's DNA to the DNA of the Tocharian mummies of the Tarim Basin and Gansu, China. These were all Caucasians there until the Han skeletons started showing up around 100-200BC.

There are many poems in Chinese lamenting the green eyes of the Han emperors. Their 'magic-men' were noted for having red hair too.

A human jawbone and other fragments were discovered in 1996 in On Your Knees Cave

Were these named Bubba?

Nicknamed "Stickman" for the mythical beings some tribes believe once inhabited the Columbia plateau

No information on "Stickman" yet, but the individual from On Your Knees Cave was haplogroup D.

He was originally named 'Tooth-Pick Man' but that was changed when it was realized that that name may upset the Indians. (No kidding) That info is contained in this book:
