"...claiming instead that he was left disoriented by a reaction to the prescription drugs Abien, a sleep aid, and Phenergan, an antihistamine."
Good grief! If this is true, I'm sure if he followed directions, he would have known that he should not have been driving or operating machinery when taking these drugs. I mean, the Abien is meant to make you SLEEP.
This is all either a crock, or this is a Kennedy with an IQ of less than 0.
One of the terms I heard being floated was "sleep-driving."
Abien,Phenergan,Jack Daniels?Sounds likely??
Congratulations! We have a winner!
I think most Kennedys are defined as "Imbeciles from the Planet Paste-Eater."
Phenergan is some really strong stuff. My hubby's a big guy...6'5", 265 lbs...and one dose of Phenergan knocked him solidly on his arse for a full day. That was the first and last dose he'd ever taken...he decided throwing up was preferable.
Patches has long been considered stupid, even by the admittedly low standards of his family.
Phenergan can knock a person on his arse, too. When my wife takes half a dose to combat extreme nausea brought on by migraine headaches, it typically puts her to sleep for an hour or two.
You are correct on both counts. This is known as the super stuper duper drunken buy off! I wonder if you or I were stopped we would be offered a ride home by the officer(s) and not given any citations. Oh, sorry my ambien made me a little demented. I apologize for my prior sentence. /sarcasm/
I am pretty certain you are not suppose to combine those two drugs. I know some States have laws that treat being under the influence of prescription drugs the same was as being under the influence of alcohol, the assumption being you should have read the warning labels and known you were not suppose to be driving.
