A more apt headline would be "MSM failed to deliver election for Gore"
To: Always Right
Liberalism can not compete in the market place of ideas. That goes without saying...liberalism is entirely disarmed when it comes to the marketplace of ideas.

Okay, for decades, how much influence have all the other stations and major newspapers had in helping the RATS?

I am just amazed, 6 years later liberals are still outraged at the election they lost.
To: plain talk
So does this mean if CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, ABC, NBC and CBS were fair and balanced Bush would have won by a landslide?Apparently so.

I wonder how many people all the other news outlets have convinced to vote democrat over the decades.
If ALL the news outlets just reported the facts and left their efforts to shape opinion out of it, this country would be in much better shape. The politicians in both parties would be held accountable and we wouldn't have the Ted Kennedies and the Dick Durbins and the Bill and Hillary Clintons in positions of power.

Fox News? By the way they act, you'd think that the White House credits Vicente Fox instead.

In other words, Bush voters are so dumb, we need a TV channel to tell us who to vote for.
Thanks Fox, I couldn't have done it without you.
More importantly, I could not have gotten through the 2000 election fiasco without Free Republic. You guys gave me the strength. Thanks.
To: Aussie Dasher
Truth affected the vote, to the dismay of liberals.

I'm sure the premature call of the state for Gore, suppressing the vote in the panhandle cost GW far more votes than that.

Is the converse also true? Did CBS, NBC, ABC, and CNN help win the 1992 and 1996 elections for Clinton? Or is this where the double-standard kicks in?
