What the heck's the matter with you people? We never had soda in the schools when I was growing up. Why should we have that freakin' fizzy sugar water in schools? Why don't we let them watch cartoons all day and play video games while we're at it. Sheesh.
I don't know. What the heck's the matter with you? Anyhow, I don't really care whether they sell pop or not. I just think it's funny that they think they need to monitor what the kids eat and drink. I mean, c'mon! Low fat milk only? Diet pop? "Unsweetened" juice? Moreover, even more hilarious, this only deals with school lunch programs. The schools will keep and continue to cash in on the coke machines down the hall.
IIRC, the vending machines got in because the schools would get a cut of sales.
Someone noted on another thread that sales at the convenience stores that abound near most schools will likely skyrocket.
