When I lived in D.C. area, I rode the metro line that was filled with Gallaudet students. Rowdy bunch...particularly in the pubs at night. Guess they had to find other ways to express themselves.
I see them often in Union Station and on the Red line trains. Other than using sign language, their typical college students.
Rowdy, how?
I went to RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology), which houses the NTID (National Technical Institute for the Deaf). I shared dorm space with deaf students for three and a half years - living in the room next door.
You have NOT heard caterwauling until you've been subjected to two deaf kids screwing in the room next door to you... No volume control, no pitch control, but perhaps birth control! ;-P
