Einstein did believe that an intellect was at the root of the order that he found in the universe.
There are many scientists who think the same way, including some I have spoken to personally. I don't see why a backing away from an ultimate creator is so necessary when men debate science. Things evolve and that could be because God created them that way.
The albino rat we used to have at university was a mutant, but ultimately a creation of God even with the mutation.

I still find it amusing how HARD they work for the RIGHT to have descended (or is that ascended) from pond scum. Have you ever noticed Mark 8:23-25?
{And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.}
I've always thought that blind man may have been on to something.☺

"Make sure you store it at room temp and don't keep it at an angle for too long, it will warp. For an acoustic, make sure the humidity is stable. Might also want to put a tad more relief in the neck (if the buzz is across a number of strings), or raise the saddle (depending on bridge type) if it is only one string.

"Einstein did believe that an intellect was at the root of the order that he found in the universe."
He didn't believe in a theistic God; his *God* was best described as the laws of nature.
"There are many scientists who think the same way, including some I have spoken to personally."
I once spoke to a man who thought that the CIA was developing a new drug that would enslave all the *darkies*, as he put it.
". I don't see why a backing away from an ultimate creator is so necessary when men debate science. "
God is an untestable claim; science doesn't deal in untestable claims.
"Things evolve and that could be because God created them that way."
Absolutely. That's what most people who accept evolution feel.
"The albino rat we used to have at university was a mutant, but ultimately a creation of God even with the mutation."
We are all mutants. Everybody has a mutation.

I looked at the replies to #88 and it's not clear what you are talking about what did you see as ganging up?

Should a woman be held to a different evidentiary standard?

But some ID research does survive the hostility of crurrent secular orthodoxy and does make it into journals of science (rather than being sidetracked into social science publications or published by social science organizations which are then scorned as less than pure science...Catch 22)
Found one list: Presume these could be incorporated into science curricula? Oops, No. A judge said not.

I believe that there have been some threads on that issue. IIRC, it was at the time there were some threads about teaching creation and ID in the British Isles.

Good point. Humidity is a killer for wood instruments.

Parts of the bible are analogies, parables or limited by what men of the times could understand.

Most of the Religious Right moved to the GOP in response to Nixon's Southern Strategy. As has been pointed out before, they are mostly W.J.Bryan Progressives; they like Big Government on "their" issues.

How about beating yourself up and trying to blame it on Creationists? We've been through this before. You probably claim those three guys in Mississippi killed themselves too.

Another sad statistic, 30% says knowing how to find stuff on a map is not important.Having never driven through flyover country at night during one of the Gas Crises.
