Thanks Pinz...we hope for a safe and delay free trip for her too. I just talked to her (this is her first trip back without me in a few years) and she's complaining how HOT Bangkok is...and she's a native! Her blood is still thin (although Bangkok is hotter than her native province)...
Thanks.
Exactly! And if Special Ops aren't there checking things out. Seeing what they can weaken in anticipation of a conflict than we might as well hang it up.
The left has had a field day in exclaiming 'shock!' at grown-up leaders doing what grown-up leaders need to do to protect and defend any country.
Pinz
Wow! Thanks for filling in the details. :-)
Isn't there some guy from Chicago who often says, "What you can believe, you can achieve!"??
Pinz
Thanks, I was going to cross post it here, but forgot.
The new mayor of Burlington Vermont has declared the city a safe haven for illegals. Man, Vermonters are so special.
They make him look like Dr. Frankenstein!
US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton testified before the House subcommittee on international relations today and got in a little argument with Rep. Dennis Kucinich. Rep. Kucinich asked John Bolton about Sy Hershs New Yorker article on Iran, to which Bolton said he didnt see it because he doesnt have time to read fiction:
KUCINICH: Have you ever heard of that report?
BOLTON: Id never heard of the report, I never read the article, nor do I intend to.
KUCINICH: Do you have any interest as to whether or notas the U.S. Ambassador, you dont have any interest as to whether or not U.S. Marines are actually operating in Iran right now?
BOLTON: I said I had not heard of the report and I didnt intend to read the article in The New Yorker.
KUCINICH: If I gave you this article right now, walked it over, would you look at it?
BOLTON: I dont think so, honestly, Congressman, because I dont have time to read much fiction.
KUCINICH: We know that U.S. Troops are in Iran. How does this affect U.N. Negotiations?
BOLTON: Congressman, you know more than I do, thats all I can say.
You guys are so bad. My husband does the same thing when I'm away in summer. He waits until the last minute to clean. I keep telling him if he does about 5 minutes a day he won't have to kill himself at the last minute. Especially now that we have not more dogs the dust and hair factor are really down. I even leave him a list that tells him how to clean easily. Does he pay attention? No. That last couple of days before coming to the Harbour he is in a cleaning frenzy. I think this is because most men are slobs. No offense guys but you really are hopeless. We love you anyway.
Good morning, Clint...I saw that clip on Brit's report last night. That was such a classic putdown, especially the "I don't read fiction" line... Bolton needs to be reappointed for the rest of the term.
Thank you, kedd...what can I say? I'm busy on the computer, I've been catching up on my newspapers (in a big pile in the living room), I've been doing a lot of reading (so there's a pile of books on the living room table)...it'll get taken care of...I promise. I'm not really a slob, I'm just not as organized as my wife.
hE sPANKED wAXMAN JUST A GOOD!
I think organized is a girl thing. I've tried for 26 years to convince Mr. Kedd that procrastinating only makes things worse. It's like a form of torture. You say you'll do it later and then, along with the accumulation of every other thing you are going to do later, everything becomes overwhelming. Don't get me wrong. He's a great husband. There's nothing he won't do for me. It's just that most guys aren't organized. Hey, as long as they open the doors and carry the heavy groceries who cares?
;-)
I suspect you're right...I have procrastinated ever since I had to write term papers and then worked all night to get them done. I DO carry the groceries and open the doors and try to keep her happy. She keeps the home front and I work on the rest of the world. It works for us...
Got into a thread last night, made a comment about moving out of a town (as a last resort) where the braindead libs had taken over and got some backchat about being "extreme".
Good thing I live in Montana instead of that town in Vermont, because I'd be pounding a For Sale sign in the front lawn and loading our stuff.
Some local pol decides to play at sandbox social experiments and there are enough other people in town voting for the clown to encourage that stuff, they can do so on their own dime.
Thanks for the link! It was good to see it again. Bolton is so much smarter than any of those critters all they can do is yap like the little weasels they are. I've got to find the whole hearing, I'm sure there are other good segments. It just makes me wonder again, aloud, When will his appointment be made permanent? Because of Sen. (cries-a-lot) Voinovich, he's still UN Ambassador only on a recess appointment which expires in January!
Who wants to make you guys obsolete. I'm definitely no feminist. My motto has always been "why give up superiority for equality." BTW, I had forgotten about that jar and top shelf stuff. Add that to the door opening and grocery carrying. However, in this household the old broad takes care of the garbage and recycling. What makes that chore worse is for these high property taxes we have no garbage pickup. It's take the trash and recycling to the town shed the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month. Of course hubby loads the car up with all the stuff.
