Cool.
With more than half of precincts reporting, Blackwell had 257,531 votes, or 55 percent, compared with 208,481, or 45 percent, for Attorney General Jim Petro.
Blackwell's prominence as a leading black voice in the GOP could be pivotal to Republicans.
He is the first black candidate to run for governor in Ohio.
Get em Ken!
Forget everything else--when I see him on the tube, he's just interesting to listen to. I don't live in Ohio but I find him smart and very human.
Very very good!
The Republican insiders I know are all deeply disappointed that Petro has lost to Ken Blackwell in the primary. The RINOs really hate him and they're predicting a dem win in the general. We'll see. I hope Ken pulls it off but it doesn't seem like his party is behind him.
All I know of Mr. Blackwell is what I saw during the 2004 election dust-up in Ohio, and he seemed very sensible, very articulate, and certainly kept his head when all around him were losing theirs. Good luck to him!
What's going on here?
"Brother Strickland.............you can RUN, but you can't HIDE!" - quoting our next Governor, the honorable KEN BLACKWELL.

Since when is "edging out" 10%?
56 -44 final (unofficial) percentages. Definitely NOT 'edging out.' :)
All have to state now is let's win the Nov. 2 nd election!!!
I've been awaiting for election like this my whole entire life so that I may come out of the shadows and present myself as the person I have become.
So lets win this for this election for all Americans who are tired of same old thing..which is elected officals not taking the right forms of action and not taking a stand.
Please don't let America down....if so you're letting people like myself who have to hide their opinions daily just to survive in America. Blackwell for some people like myself is our only hope of coming out of the shawdows.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Now just win this election!!! Win one for the Gipper!!

I know I left a response earlier...I made a mistake on the date of the election...Nov. 7th...it's a Tuesday!!!
Please just make sure Strickland is the one who goes home...not the governor...Governor Blackwell sounds more like it!!!!
