US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton testified before the House subcommittee on international relations today and got in a little argument with Rep. Dennis Kucinich. Rep. Kucinich asked John Bolton about Sy Hersh's "New Yorker" article on Iran, to which Bolton said he didn't read it because he doesn't have time to read "fiction":
KUCINICH: Have you ever heard of that report? BOLTON: I'd never heard of the report, I never read the article, nor do I intend to.
KUCINICH: Do you have any interest as to whether or not -- as the U.S. Ambassador, you dont have any interest as to whether or not U.S. Marines are actually operating in Iran right now?
BOLTON: I said I had not heard of the report and I didn't intend to read the article in "The New Yorker."
KUCINICH: If I gave you this article right now, walked it over, would you look at it?
BOLTON: I don't think so, honestly, Congressman, because I don't have time to read much fiction.
KUCINICH: We know that U.S. Troops are in Iran. How does this affect U.N. Negotiations?
BOLTON: Congressman, you know more than I do, that's all I can say.

"Bolton for Pres."
Man, you just said exactly what I was thinking. I doubt he'd get very far, however. He is not the type to kiss a**.

"believes the UN
can should be reformed"
I think this is much closer to the truth of what John Bolton thinks. They are different things. I doubt he believes it will reform. He is there, however, to use it by pointing out what is, and isn't, happening there.

Bolton should try to DEform the UN. Much more worthwhile.

I caught part of that exchange today, he severely bitch slapped the little girl, then took a couple parting swipes at Nostridamus (Henry Waxman) for good measure.

nothing surprises me when it comes from these scumbags any more. They want their power back and don't give a damn how they get it. I just wish (and I know I've got better odds in winning the Powerball lottery) that just one pub had the testicular fortitude to ask the Sargent of arms to place these traitorous scum under arrest right in front of the cameras for revealing classified intel. Just once and you'd see it come to a screeching halt.

Looks like they just started a new chapter in the The Little Red Dimwit Book.
It describes how to ratchet up protests beginning just a few months before an election.
Example 1(a) is entitled: Draw parallels between Iran and Cambodia - This is sure to draw anarchists and other Democrats into the street.

"IF (and that's a BIG "if") Kucinich is right, and we really do have U.S. Marines covertly inside Iran at the moment...
Wouldn't that be a breach of national security and a divulging of classified information to baldly state so in an open meeting?"
Most certainly is in my book.....the S*B should have been marched out of there by armed guards, locked up and the key thrown away. How on earth we've ended up with so many hateful traitors to our military and the country in DC at one time is beyond me. It's very apparent their only aim is to divide the country in two and turn whats left into a defeated third world nation just as Mikhall Gorbachev planned.
"Gentlemen, comrades, do not be concerned about all you hear about Glasnost and Perestroika and democracy in the coming years. These are primarily for outward consumption. There will be no significant internal change within the Soviet Union, other than for cosmetic purposes. Our purpose is to disarm the Americans and let them fall asleep."

This is the way Administration officials SHOULD respond to the Capitol Hill idiots. Too often they act apologetic when what they really need to do is GET IN THEIR FACES.

The more I see Bolton, the more I like him... no wonder the Dems and commies hate him.. he doesn't even try to be polite with their lunacy.
Unbelievable, congressman citing NEW YORKER MAGAZINE article as "proof"... unfreaking believable.
