BRUSSELS, Belgium - The EU foreign policy chief told a special committee Tuesday he had no information that CIA agents interrogated al-Qaida suspects at secret prisons in Europe and operated flights over European territory.
EU lawmakers accused Javier Solana of giving evasive answers in their investigation into reported questionable CIA activities in Europe.

It's just more strange that NO one can find any evidence of these jails. If the CIA had set something like that out there would be something by now but I have this feeling it might have been a big set up.

I don't understand why the CIA would have chosen Europe when there are plenty of middle-eastern countries that are known for secret jails and very aggressive interrogations.

Solana despises the US as much as *anyone* in Old Europe. Therefore,his testimony has a high degree of credibility.
