America is in a downward spiral, plummeting toward destruction – not because of depleted ozone, global warming, over population, mineral-resource depletion or any other silly pluripotent argument that is wheeled out daily. We are self destructing because of our choices. And while there was a time our choices appeared to be slowing down the inevitable, it now appears that all that is possible is being done to hasten same.
America is collapsing because, as a people, we have chosen to embrace lies over the truth. We have cursed that which is good and applauded that which is patently false. Evidence the applause and fanfare surrounding the anticipated release of "The Da Vinci Code." The book itself has been called "pure genius" and a "masterpiece that should be mandatory reading." It has been called "a delightful display of erudition" and "a mystery that challenges our intelligence."
Yet, the "Passion of the Christ" – a movie based entirely on historical fact, a movie based on the principle tenet of Christendom for over 2000 years, a movie about our Lord – is called "good for a laugh." Christians who embraced that movie were called "absurd." Dan Brown, author of the "Code," is as spiritually fatuous as his book is heretical, yet he is called brilliant and insightful, while Mel Gibson, creator and producer of "The Passion" was called "callous." The mainstream press, and many public figures, bemoaned the historical accuracy of the film as bad.
This is but one example of cursing the "Truth" while embracing a lie. It may seem redundant to point out the obvious, but when elementary school children are told it is good to learn about homosexuality – but not allowed to wear a tee-shirt with a Bible verse on it – I submit the end is near. When children learn about condoms and sexual practices – but are denied the right to give cards celebrating the birth of Christ or even drawing biblical pictures in art class – we as a nation stand on the precipice of destruction.
America is collapsing because we have become a culture that celebrates death. Abortion-on-demand and the removal of life-sustaining support from those who might or would in time recover – and who have expressed a desire to live – is barbarous. Encouraging people to seek euthanasia when perhaps they should seek counseling is not the sign of a righteous nation.
We are in a state of decline because the threats and peril our Founding Fathers faced – in order to establish a more perfect union, one that would not fall prey to the destructive policies they had witnessed others succumb to – are now embraced by those we elect and those who instruct our children.
We are collapsing under chaos and anarchy. Criminal codes and statutes are being willfully ignored by lawbreakers, and eagerly, albeit deceitfully, changed by the self-serving who are interested only in self-preservation.
Judges and the courts have forgotten their role. They routinely undermine the work of law enforcement. They aide and abet pedophiles and serial rapists by giving them less severe sentences than can be expected for mistreating animals. Instead of enforcing our laws and the Constitution, those we elect find ways to circumvent and subvert same for their personal gain. They support anarchy by assisting those sworn to destroy our way of life. Laws that have been established to protect society as a whole are disregarded so as to aid criminals. Witness the protests of illegal aliens and the support they enjoy from the White House down.
As I have previously stated, my understanding of eschatology provides me with assurance – but it does not provide me with the option – to seek out a comfortable spot on the hillside from which to furtively watch for the judgment of those below.
We have a duty to the present and whatever future remains. And that duty will not be accomplished by what amounts to a pagan worship of the Earth. It will be accomplished by reminding people of that which our forefathers held dear – the "Truth" that this great nation was founded upon.
This cannot be done by changing parties nor as it stands at present, by simply replacing one elected person with another. We must first reclaim our historical traditions, i.e., "Godly" worship, Godly families, and Godly educational institutions – many of which, lest we forget, were founded as church schools.
We must focus on raising up an army to take back our nation, even as those intent upon destroying it have sent forth their minions to accomplish the same. As one old-timer used to say: "We don't need to know how much time is left – we need to use whatever is left wisely."

With God nothing is impossible. Perhaps it is time all Americans join in a prayer for the survival of our nation as it was designed to be. I have experienced many miracles in my life, yes, actual miracles. All churches should call for a National Prayer Week, with each hour of the 24 hour day covered. God listens.
Don't kid yourself, they have all been Secular Humanists over the past three generations, and many of them have been secularists from Colonial times. Few career politicians actualy practice any religion, no matter how many photos you may see of them toting Bibles under their arms in front of some self-styled Evangelical chapel.

Over the last 50 years, they have, in fact, promoted or legalized just about every evil that Christianity condemns, from banishing public prayer and religious symbols to legalizing abortion; from legalizing pornography to fostering homosexual 'rights'.

the violent crime rate declined through this period, as well as the abortion rate dropped by about 25 percent for both married and unmarried women, The teen Pregnancy Rate Reached a Record Low, More Teenagers are saying no to sex and Drug use by teenagers declined.
Christianity is determined by ones faith and one's actions, and paying lip service to Christ does not make one a Chistian; but I wouldn't expect an atheist or secularist to grasp this concept.

Qam1, your assumption that those former Presidents you mention were real Christians is preposterous. Posing as one doesn't make it so. A real Christian is one whose deeds reflect the righteousness of Christ. Trysts, treasons, and derelictions of duty are all consciously committed evils, and a true Christian would not compromise the integrity of the office with such shameful acts. Judging them by their fruit, it's clear they were no Christians.
But it's also true that you'd have to be one, to know one.

Please tell me, if lack of Christianity leads to poor morals, how is it that as Christianity declines and there are more and more Atheist in the US, the violent crime rate declined, the abortion rate declined , The teen Pregnancy Rate Reached a Record Low, More Teenagers are saying no to sex and Drug use by teenagers declined.
