If it looks like a hoodwink, smells like, walks like...!!??
LAPD have been given Special Order 40, thanks to the Police Commission chaired by Warren Christopher (of the Clinton admin), which bars them from questioning citizenship status of apprehended perps or, of course, suspected illegals. Los Angeles is a "hands off" sanctuary city.
The question would be, how does the city continue to receive federal funds when it is in fact an "outlaw" city, defying federal law? At the same time, what is preventing ICE from coming in and carrying out federal law?
Monday night, rioting pro-illegals "demonstrators" demolished my childhood park, MacArthur Park (no media reports on this *gasp*). Beachie, I have so many wonderful memories of that park, boating in the lake, playing with my friends, etcetera. My childhood neighborhood is unrecognizable, due to the invasion, and there is no excuse for it. This is not what America stands for.
And, personally, I think allowing this is a disservice to our fine men and women serving in uniform to protect our nation and promote freedom.
Dita, that is such a shame. Just goes to show you who can REALLY protest peacefully, huh?
Well, I for one am going to start researching the government reps to find who is for "illegals" and who is NOT! Come voting time in the near future, I hope to remember their names.
p.s. you can bet I'll do my best not to live in LA during my lifetime.
