Price gouging? Maybe but the refineries or distributors, but the oil companies don't set the price for their own product. Oil is a commodity so the price is set by the market. Gas stations face too much competition to try to rip-off anyone. They make only a few cents profit on each gallon.

Well, the news reports that there is to be an investigation of possible price gouging. Prez Bush says he will not tolerate price gouging.
