I live in Bakersfield and went to every Mexican restaurant on my side of town looking for a closed one. I had signs I was going to put on their doors. They were all open.
I drove around and shopped for 4 hrs today. Didn't find or see one biz closed.
Went to Walmart for the first time in 3 yrs, it was nice. Traffic on the highways was a heckuva lot less and easy to get around today.
I love this day without illegals. Everyday please!
Traffic was much nicer around Northern Virginia as well. I'll take 365 days without illegal invaders, please...
Funny thing, I live in Bakersfield, and work for a major Bakersfield employer, and we didn't have many workers miss work today. In fact, I talked to a couple of gals who are of Mexican decent, and they think the whole thing is ridiculous.
I noticed that as well, the usual hour plus trip into Orange County (CA) took about 35 minutes, coming back only about 5 more....
Who'd a thunk it!
(PS: not sure if it was less vehicles or just fewer weird/slow/erratic/irritating freeway challenged illegals, but it was nice. I'm told the trucks into and out of the harbor were at least somewhat immigrant free also - must have been nice on the 710.)
