Funny thing, I live in Bakersfield, and work for a major Bakersfield employer, and we didn't have many workers miss work today. In fact, I talked to a couple of gals who are of Mexican decent, and they think the whole thing is ridiculous.
Yeah I bet EB more or less shut down, they said Shafter over 50%, Delano the same. That means the only people they hurt were themselves.

My guess is this thing is big in the inner city Democrat-led bastions on liberalism, like SF and LA (and a mini-effect here in Austin), and meaningless elsewhere.
