What we KNOW they want, is to line up Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rummy, and now Gonzalez, and Mueller up and execute them---
And, it seems like more and more Republicans are joining the vigilantes every day!!

As I mentioned above .. if the FBI just raid the office with no reason at all .. then Congress would have a point and a case to stand on
These congresscritters are ignoring the fact a federal crime was committed and Congressman Jefferson used his office as a sanctuary and ignored federal subpoenas for 8 MONTHS
And standing behind someone who sold our country to fatten their bank account is not a smart PR move

I hate polls, but I dare say that if a poll was taken of the American people, and it asked if we thought the Congresscritters had to abide by the same rules WE do?

Actually, I am pretty sure they don't care how this looks or what we think. This is about their power, the thing they care about above all others. Those presidents only get 8 years at the most, they think to themselves, but by golly, we are pretty much here for life, so we are the ones who really matter.
You are very right...and when we get a "new crop" that every once in a while campaign on "term limits"...usually don't follow through, do they?
Power just makes them break promises....and I am afraid, a lot of American's trust right now.

There is one thing I wish someone involved in this flap over the capitol hill search would mention and that is the memo that was discovered that revealed the Rockefeller plot to do harm to the Administration for purely political reasons. I simply could not believe that everyone alowed the dems to turn it into an outrage over accessing the memo. Now I think I understand it better and I think it may be that sort of thing turning up even more than evidence of actual criminal activity that is giving them fits.
I suppose that is the only explanation why...and doesn't it just chap you that it seems like it is the GOP that are the most upset???
BTW, I just heard on the radio that Pelosi made a DEAL with the Congressional Black Caucus...that she would back down asking for Jefferson's resignation from the Ways and Mean Committee, if they agreed NOT to campaign AGAINST her this fall!!
Now that is what I call blackmail....and it stinks.

I saw blurb on Fox News about the Marines being sent to Indonesia to help with the earthquake victims....and the very FIRST thought I had was....I wonder if they even will let them STAY to help after the way Murtha and others have been portraying Marines these days..without benefit of a completed investigation or a trial?
Okay...just perusing the threads tonight...we have the immigration threads, naturally, and now the Haditha threads, with all kinds of freepers agruing..
And, I just came upon a thread about President Bush's pick for Treasury Secretary..(one of the many subjects I haven't had time to think about)...and there are the same freepers agruing on THAT thread..calling each other names...
What is going on>?? That is rhetorical, you know that.
So...I turn on Chrissy..and there is a guy wanting a 9/11 type commission to study the "culture of the ______"..I don't know what word they used, but they are talking about studying the "behaviour of all of our troops, and why they would be doing all of this awful stuff...like Abu Ghraib and now Haditha"...
They are all sure, however, that the culture is the fault of Rummy and Cheney and Bush...(why have a commission then?)

Our military are the best they have ever been, and they are the best the world has ever seen.
My no news day was just great. I watched old Hollywood movies about WWII. It put me in the right state of mind for the weekend...grateful, proud of my country. It was nice.

I think it is gonna be INTENSE, because of the immigration bill, Haditha, the $$$ from Homeland Security that Peter King is all upset about, Marriage Amendment...
BTW, it is ironic that the 2 Americans linked to that big terrorist group in Canada live in GEORGIA...and yet I bet Peter King would be screaming that Georgia doesn't need Homeland Security money like New York...
Also, that man that ran into a crowd of people wanting to kill them in the name of Allah...wasn't he in North Carolina???
