It isn't about Civil Rights, it's about millions of invaders over throwing the rule of law in this nation.

True. The traditional Mexican national dislike of blacks is amazing. They still have blackface shows in Mexico.

True. I once saw a live music act on Spanish language TV perform a song with the lyrics:
"Black man.
You think you're cool but you're ugly.
You look like a monkey."

Black people are virtually invisible on Spanish stations. The only roles they have on nightime soaps are as maids or evil drug dealers. The hosts of their talk shows are all white women. No people of color. Their TV news shows have no black news readers or reporters and these are shows produced in the USA.

From CNN.com:

Even some of those who supported the earlier protests have called for caution in Monday's rallies. Cardinal Roger Mahony of Los Angeles and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa last week urged parents not to let their children leave school for the demonstrations. Some immigrant groups have warned workers not to take part if it would cost them their jobs. (Watch the debate on the merits of a boycott -- 2:08)

But Christine Neumann Ortiz, who helped organize an earlier Milwaukee protest, said she has seen increased support for immigrants since the earlier demonstrations.

"Particularly, the business community and the African-American and Asian community have really, actually stepped forward this time in a way that they didn't just a couple of months ago," she said.

Looks like they're trying to spin it in spite of black protests. Why in the world would the black community be happy about this uncontrolled illegal immigration? Stupid liar.

No doubt true. They are competing for the jobs.

The Irish immigrants fought with the African Americans in New Orleans for jobs in the mid 1800's. From what I read..it was dirty.

How disgusting. Was this recently? In the US?

Blacks will be the first to suffer under Hispanic political control. I fear you are correct, but that your tenses are wrong. Illegal aliens have already displaced African-Americans in many areas. "Hispanics," are also competitors, here as illegals or not, for Affirmative Action preferences.

I love the split between the brown/black coalition.

AFAIK, "Rainbow" Jackson is missing in action.

Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), who introduced legislation to grant permanent residency status to long-term illegal aliens, said on "Democracy Now" radio: "My bill attempted to craft this as a civil rights issue... I believe (amnesty) is a civil rights question."

She also believes that hurricanes need to be given African-sounding names for equality's sake.

"I love the split between the brown/black coalition."

It's been there all along.

Difference between now and 1850 is that the Blacks are the Irish and the Browns are the Blacks.

The pubbies put an end to the slave trade in 1865. Hispanics are the new "slaves".

That is the grim truth and thank God for Project 21. It's funny how liberals love to call conservatives racist this-and-that, blah blah blah... yet they would just LOVE to allow a bunch of illegal racists into the country while sapping at a civil rights movement that helped empower LEGAL citizens.

F*ck these Mexicans, their racist blackface stamps, their trying to raise their shitty Mexican flag above our great Stars & Stripes, and their dilapidated culture. All racists should be treated the same... swim back home, jagoffs.

There is a big difference between slavery and illegal immigration. Illegals break laws to come here; slaves were brought here against God's Law.

"There is a big difference between slavery and illegal immigration. Illegals break laws to come here; slaves were brought here against God's Law."

No matter who was morally wrong in there being here, the slave or the slave owner, it's still a mute point..they are still the new "slaves" of the elite classes.

IMHO..the slave owners got smarter..now they can blame the slaves for the "wedding".

Blacks have been worried for some time about losing their MFM status (most favored minority); what with women being a larger group than the total blacks, never mind that over half of the blacks are also women, add in the burgeoning hispanic population from immigration and high birth rate and soon there won't be enough benefits to go around.

They should be complaining.

When I first tried the link to LaShawn's site, it was down. I almost wish I hadn't gotten in:

**********************************************************

Yesterday a reader sent a link to a story about Mexico’s newly issued postal stamps, which for some inexplicable reason depict black caricatures reminiscent of a bygone era in the United States.

Dark-skinned people of African descent are subjected to this in Mexico? They have a big Negro problem down there, do they?

I wasn’t going to blog about this because it nauseates me, then I changed my mind. Michelle Malkin beat me to the punch anyway. Whenever I see racist caricatures of blacks from back in the day, I cringe. To think there was a time in the U.S. when whites openly mocked and ridiculed blacks with these exaggerated stereotypes, and blackface comedy was all the rage.

Ironically (and sadly), blacks also performed in blackface. To see it in 2005 coming from any country or anyone raises my blood pressure.

I don’t need more reasons to dislike Vicente Fox. The reasons I have are more than enough. His desire to dictate how we enforce our immigration laws, his disregard for the poorer, darker-skinned citizens of his own country (If you’re white, you’re alright!), and the self-interested, unethical, and open encouragement he gives them to invade our country (with George Bush’s complicity) fills me with so much disgust that I hope to meet him one day so I can tell him exactly what I think of him.

I don’t want illegal aliens removed from this land because Mexico is racist; I want them gone because they’re here illegally, have no regard for our laws and culture, seeking only America’s rich blessings and none of the responsibilities, and most of all, because they’re wreaking havoc on our health care and government school infrastructures, costing law-abiding American citizens millions.

But the people in power don’t care. They can afford private schools for their kids and doctors of their choice. Yet, some of these same people want socialized medicine, government doctors, so that we’ll have to wait six months for that life-saving surgery while they can afford the doctors of their choice. And I don’t say this often enough, so listen carefully: if you can’t afford private schools, homeschool your children! But I digress. From CNN:

The series of five stamps released for general use Wednesday depicts a child character from a comic book started in the 1940s that is still published in Mexico.

The boy, hapless but lovable, is drawn with exaggerated features, thick lips and wide-open eyes. His appearance, speech and mannerisms are the subject of kidding by white characters in the comic book….Activists said the stamp was offensive, though officials denied it.

“One would hope the Mexican government would be a little more careful and avoid continually opening wounds,” said Sergio Penalosa, an activist in Mexico’s small black community on the southern Pacific coast. Hapless but lovable? Who wrote this garbage? Probably some white, American, liberal journalist. Before my whole day is ruined, I need to stop writing.

You must be hurting with all that "shopping" you are doing today (see your tagline).

My suggestion if you got it so "bad"..go apply for one of those jobs today that the Mexicans boycotted.
