True. I once saw a live music act on Spanish language TV perform a song with the lyrics:
"Black man.

Black people are virtually invisible on Spanish stations. The only roles they have on nightime soaps are as maids or evil drug dealers. The hosts of their talk shows are all white women. No people of color. Their TV news shows have no black news readers or reporters and these are shows produced in the USA.
The Irish immigrants fought with the African Americans in New Orleans for jobs in the mid 1800's. From what I read..it was dirty.
