WASHINGTON
The Supreme Court ruled Monday that one-time stripper and Playboy Playmate Anna Nicole Smith could pursue part of her late husband's oil fortune.
Justices gave new legal impetus to Smith's bid to collect millions of dollars from the estate of J. Howard Marshall II. Her late husband's estate has been estimated at as much as $1.6 billion.
Smith has been embroiled in a long running cross-country court fight with Marshall's youngest son, E. Pierce Marshall. The court's decision, which was unanimous, means that it will not end anytime soon.

Didn't she start by wanting less, just her wages for warming the old fart's bed? The children got greedy. She raised the stakes. Good for her.

Just be sure to have safe search turned on if you google from work and care about that sort of thing.

They were married. She's entitled. Period.
To: Halls
With hooters that size, who wouldn't back her?

Smith has been embroiled in a long running cross-country court fight with Marshall's youngest son, E. Pierce Marshall. Why doesn't she just marry the son too. That would solve all the problems. ;-)

No surprise - strict constructionists sided with a woman who was strictly constructed. :^)

The one who is to blame is their late dad. He married a woman who married him for his money, but that doesn't matter. THE law is on Anna's side! She was Marshall's wife no matter And I would think that anyone with common sense would have seen that to be the case from day one. This case is ridiculous.

It would appear that SCOTUS just ruled that a Fed bankruptcy court can overturn a State Civil court / jury and force a partial settlement. This could have some very far reaching impact into civil litigation.Hopefully it will reach to local courts. Local Courts have been corrupt for years. I wish the SC would have just awarded full settlement to Anna. Local Judges have not been following the law, but interpreting it illegally and they have been getting away with it for year. Some feel good Judges should be removed from the bench.

It would've been much cheaper for E. Marshall to have hired a hitman...not for the trashy Anna Nicole, but for his incompetent father.
To: dljordan
His good friends call him E.
