Yes. Basically, the are few Zell Millers left in the Democratic party that is in Congress or state governments, anywhere. In the GOP, there may be a few Reaganites in office, but, for the most part, a bunch of RHINOS. Guess political image and repayment to large contributors have the highest priority for any politicians, 'cause, well, frankly, it's been a while since I've seen a true statesman / stateswoman.

What we have been witnessing this past century is the onslaught of societal euthanasia where factions from the Left have pressed ever harder for the growth of the Welfare State. Now, those across the world, less fortunate than many here in the US, have 'heard the word' and are on a stampede to get into America by whatever mean and onto Uncle Sam's coattails for the free handouts and hopefully, amnesty.

Without a doubt the concept and the reality of The Welfare State has been sold as by the media, the schools, and the feds as 'Social Justice".

Political Correctness is by far the most recent and relevant phenomena present to support my personal view as a sincere lack of spine by most politicians.

I call it the Stalinization of America.

"But that’s exactly what the Left’s Walter Durantys and Dan Rathers, who continue to infiltrate the elite media, still don’t understand about the real cost of freedom: It always carries a price tag the Left thinks America shouldn’t pay – despite their daily abusing the free speech and press they employ to ruin their opponents. In effect, McCarthyism was never really about the so-called “blacklisting” that Communist sympathizers decried, as much as it was about exposing the very enemies that are still trying to destroy the U.S."

This needs to be a thread, but I don't know how to do it.
