Per WIND radio, the Chicago Sun-Times has closed two plants in the Pilsen neighborhood. Worth remembering when you read their editorial page.

Gallo Wines are also closing today.

::side note, I believe it is important we distinguish between businesses who voluntary close, businesses who close because they hire illegals and businesses who are forced to close who don't hire illegals but their workforce doesn't show up.. The latter we shouldn't 'punish'.

Actually, this is a good 'starter' list for DHS/ICE to begin further investigations with. If these businesses are closing their facilities, then that implies that at least some of their workers are likely illegal aliens (and they know it).

This wouldn't even be a problem for me, really (I eat meat, but not a lot), but it seems like PETA might like it too much. ;-))

Mnehrling made this excellent point on the locked thread:

side note, I believe it is important we distinguish between businesses who voluntary close, businesses who close because they hire illegals and businesses who are forced to close who don't hire illegals but their workforce doesn't show up.. The latter we shouldn't 'punish'.

How can we tell the difference?

Whole Foods supermarkets

Went by a Whole Foods at lunch, they were open. Must be a local thing.

Whole Foods...same with me, on Long Island NY, they are open.

Please be careful of who you condem.

But at the same time, there should be some kind of organization we can join to boycott all those that do close.

Let's see how many illegals they have hired, fine the Corp, deport the illegals and close down their shops!!
