FYI: I reckon most people would consider the US to be both a Republic and a Democracy.

All one can come away with from her story is that her true belief about that infamous day is that BUSH DID IT SOMEHOW and that there are NO TERRORISTS and no such thing as TERRORISM.

She is a putz and PERFECT for the role of that person who calls herself a mother.

This is just plain silly. I doubt the media would hold anything against her because she thinks just like them. Most people, even those with family in the Military, just laughed about the whole sheehan movie plan. The only time most people think about her is when the media reports yet another silly statement.

You are right in that in a republic it is acknowledged that we have god given or natural rights. In a democracy there are "rights" granted by the govt. So yes our country does operate under both sets of laws. I suspect Ms Sarandon would prefer the democracy only. Thanks for your post.

These little names the Left comes up with for their organizations, pet projects and situations - almost always sound like they were invented by sugared-up second graders.

Sometimes the names the Right comes up with are pretty ridiculous, but the left is almost uniformly childish.
