I don't think that people should smoke with young children in the car.......but there are also about 1 million other things I think people shouldn't do (#43,975 is farting in elevators.....you just never know who is going to step in when those doors open), but I don't think this would be a very pleasant place to live if everything that people shouldn't do is made illegal.

Good thing we have the government to tell us exactly how to live our lives, cause otherwise we'd have to *gasp* think for ourselves.

What a bunch of BS! (And I don't smoke)
Junk science scam. See:

"Thirty-three studies on secondhand smoke had been completed by 1993. More than 80 percent of the studies reported no association between secondhand smoke and lung cancer, including the largest of the studies."

They're one step away from monitoring our homes with either surprise inspections like a child smoking protection agency (paid with your tax dollars by the way) or get ready to install those state owned and run camera's in every room to protect the chil'ren. It's all about the chil'ren don't you know?

Why do you suppose this is? They are trying to destroy the idea of car as an extension of the home. Started with laws about open containers. Then to firearms in the car. Then to cell phones. Now to smoking.
After cars are taken care of, it will be the home.
They have already started trying, starting with smoking.
The ultimate goal is to destroy private property without ever saying that's what they are doing, and without a mind-numbed public ever realizing it.
